Research scientist Dr. Cassie St. James was working for Crey Labs when she developed a nanite that, when introduced to the body, would instantly form a metallic, mesh-like covering protecting the user from harm. The nanites would also react to the user’s thoughts, instantly changing to whatever form the user desired. She hoped to use her discovery for good, but Crey had other ideas. Stumbling on a plot to sell her invention to The Malta, St. James and her assistant Kelly Pierce stole the prototypes, destroyed the research, and fled the labs. Now St. James uses her suit and newfound abilities to fight evil as the Crimson Shield, seeking to once and for all put an end to the Crey and Malta. (706/1023 characters)
